Includes West Loop, Fulton Market, Little Italy
The Near West Side and West Loop have undergone a dramatic transformation in last two decades. The hottest part of the neighborhood is Fulton Market, home to Google’s Chicago campus and a burgeoning tech sector. Fulton Market and nearby Randolph Street feature some of the City’s most popular dining establishments including Girl and the Goat, Blackbird, Publican, Au Cheval and Grace. The area is also home to the United Center, where the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks play. Amazing development continues in this neighborhood of trendy lofts and luxury new construction. Greektown, a collection of Greek-owned businesses still dominates Halsted Street on the east side of the neighborhood. Nearby students at University of Illinois at Chicago can wander through Little Italy on their way to class. The Illinois Medical District is also a large draw for area residents. Bordering downtown, the area is well-served by public transportation.
